We invite you to contribute to the efsli Conference in Zagreb 2026 by applying as an interpreter.

This is an opportunity to support communication and collaboration with colleagues from across Europe. We welcome applications from deaf and hearing interpreters with relevant skills and experience.

Call for Interpreters

Applications may be submitted individually or as a team. Teams can include up to 4 interpreters, deaf or hearing. At least one team member must be able to interpret from International Sign into Croatian or English.

Mandatory preparatory meeting!

International Sign / English

We are looking for experienced interpreters to work between English and International Sign to deliver their services at the efsli Day on 11 September and during the conference on 12-13 September. Interpreters will receive €1500 (taxes included) for their interpreting services at the efsli Day & Conference (2.5 days); travel expenses (up to €250), accommodation (3 nights) and subsistence will be covered by the organisers.

Prerequisites: Relevant training and/or experience in international conference interpreting. It would be desirable that the applicants are WFD/WASLI accredited or pre-accredited.

Croatian Sign Language / Croatian

For efsli Day on 11 September and during the conference on 12-13 September, we are looking for sign language interpreters working between Croatian Sign Language and spoken Croatian. Interpreters working at the efsli Day & conference (2.5 days) will receive €900 (taxes included) for their interpreting services at the efsli Day & conference; travel expenses (up to €150), accommodation (3 nights) and subsistence will be covered by the organisers.

Prerequisites: Relevant training and/or experience in international conference interpreting.
